The Helsinki Region Chamber of Commerce was established in 1917. The size of its membership makes makes it the largest chamber of commerce in the Nordic region. The Chamber has around 6,500 member enterprises representing all sectors of trade and industry. The Chamber works to protect the interests of its members, offers extensive advisory services as well as engaging in various educational and publication activities.

The mission of the Helsinki Region Chamber of Commerce is to strengthen the competitiveness of trade and industry in the Helsinki Metropolitan Area. In the Chamber's vision, the Helsinki Metropolitan Area is one of the most successful business centres in Europe, and a strong driver of the Finnish economy.
