The aim of the SLK Instituutti's efforts in developing and serving the employment sector is to promote the institute's networking and collaboration with the surrounding labour market and thus ensure that adult education is more working life driven. Diverse partnership networks are used to strengthen the customer orientation, quality and continuous development of the institute's workplace-driven operating models, and to increase the regional or thematic influence of its adult education and projects.

Applications for project and development funding to support the working life development and service inititatives of SLK Instituutti can be made from the Finnish National Board of Education.
