The Finnish Business College and the Helsinki Business College have merged to form a new privately owned vocational college. The new college has started functioning on 1st August 2009.
Within the new college, the HBC Institute will be in charge of carrying out adult education, offering basic, vocational and specialist qualifications in business administration and business information technology, as well as providing preparatory training leading to graduation. These are competence-based qualifications.
We operate in Pasila, which can easily be reached by public transport.
We network and work together with competent experts from working life in planning and organising education. We partner with the Helsinki Region Chamber of Commerce, offering qualification-oriented training for member organisations of the Chamber. We also organise apprenticeship training. Adult Education Director Sirkka Nykänen is responsible for the managment of the HBC Institute.
